The AUD28million state-of-the-art pilot training academy is located at Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, Australia. This academy is the first pilot training establishment in Asia Pacific that features a fully self-contained campus with modern classrooms that comply with both Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, examination rooms approved by CASA’s designated examination provider Assessment Services Pty Ltd (ASL), language laboratories to cater to foreign students, individual bedrooms for all students, complete with recreational facilities like swimming pool, gymnasium, soccer field and a multi-purpose hard court. The campus is also situated right next to the flight training centre with its own hangar where all the aircraft are parked and ready for flight training.

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

In-person training delivered at the RTO's site. Also known as 'on-campus', 'in-class', 'traditional face-to-face', 'on-RTO-site' delivery.

Facilities

The AAPA campus consists of a world-class academic centre just a stone’s throw away from the student residences with the following facilities:

  • Complete Wi-Fi environment enabling students to log into the school’s Computer Based Training system to engage in self-study anytime as desired;
  • A 70sqm resource library with reference materials catering to all the different stages for the entire duration of the cadet’s training course;
  • Fully computerised language laboratory to assist with foreign students’ learning;
  • Both medium and large sized state-of-the-art classrooms that comply with both Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards;
  • Examination rooms approved by CASA’s designated examination provider Assessment Services Pty Ltd (ASL);
  • Full motion SAAB Simulators allows for more effective training and prepares the pilot for a raft of abnormal and emergency scenarios;
  • Three fully equipped and air-conditioned simulator rooms housing ELITE iGATE Synthetic Training Devices ; and
  • Student lounges for relaxation during break times.

Services

AAPA is approved by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to conduct the new ICAO Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) core flying training on behalf of Alpha Aviation Academy for cadet pilots from UAE.  

Besides being approved by the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority as a flight academy, AAPA has also been approved by Australian Skills Quality Authority as a Registered Training Organisation to deliver nationally recognised AVI50219 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) and AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating). In addition, AAPA is on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students and is authorised to accept foreign students for both qualification enrolments.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

Subsidised Training

State and territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students who wish to study certain courses.
Unfortunately, this Training Provider does not currently deliver any subsidised training.

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The compulsory repayment threshold for the 2019-20 income year is $45,881.
