Facilities
We are located on site at the Bacchus Marsh Aerodrome. Our facilities are purpose built to cater for our aviation students and have been recently renovated and kitted out with new furniture and state of the art audio-visual equipment to ensure students have the best learning experience possible. All of our classrooms are spacious and comfortable with great views of the aerodrome.
Being on-site at the Bacchus Marsh aerodrome offers plenty of benefits including the ability to go straight from class-room to flight training and vice-versa. In addition to this, the Bacchus Marsh aerodrome is one of the quietest in Victoria - meaning that as a student, you will spend more of your per hour training actually in the air, rather than waiting on the runway for clearance. There are also no landing fees, which reduces the cost of your training.
In addition to this, there is a student kitchen and eating area for students to eat and prepare food, as well as outdoor tables and chairs where you can sit and watch the planes take off and come in to land.
We have a flight simulator that is available for students to practice on, in addition to laptops being available for borrowing.
We also have on-site accommodation facilities. These too have also been newly renovated and provide all of the necessary comforts of living at home, with the added benefit of living and studying in your own private space on campus. The rooms come fully furnished with a queen size bed and under bed storage, bedside tables, student desk and chair, and have sufficient lighting, block out blinds, heating and cooling for winding down in comfort after a day of flying or to dig your heels into study.
Our accommodation is located on the second storey of our building, providing extraordinary view of the aerodrome. Our two larger rooms have access to a private balcony to enjoy the country scenery, with room from additional personal furniture.

Financial Assistance
The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.
There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.
State and territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students who wish to study certain courses. Unfortunately, this Training Provider does not currently deliver any subsidised training.
This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
Based on your response, you are not eligible to access a VET Student Loan.
The VET Student Loans Program is only available to Australian citizens, qualifying New Zealand citizens, or permanent humanitarian visa holders who are residing in Australia.
You may wish to talk to your training provider to discuss alternative payment options for your studies or check with your local state or territory government for any state-based funding and assistance initiatives.

Question 2: Age
Are you over 18 years of age?
Don’t worry, you may still be eligible for a VET Student Loan. Students under the age of 18 will need to provide a parental consent form or specific evidence of their independence.
Not all courses and training providers are approved for the VET Student Loans (VSL) program, so your selections may not be listed below.

What is the name of the VET Student Loans approved training provider you intend to study with?

it is likely that you will not be eligible for student payments from Centrelink.
You must be studying an approved course at a training provider that is approved for VET Student Loans to get student payments from Centrelink.
Do you have enough HELP balance remaining (this is the amount of HELP limit you have available to you)?
?
You are not currently eligible for a VET Student Loan as you have indicated that you have reached your HELP loan limit. You may wish to talk to your training provider to discuss alternative payment options for your studies.
Note: Your HELP balance is renewable. Any compulsory or voluntary amounts that are repaid from the 2019-20 income year onwards can be re-borrowed, up to the HELP loan limit. Repayments will credit your available HELP balance once the Australian Taxation Office notifies the Department of the payment.
Complete these questions and download your VSL Eligibility Tool Report for more information.
