Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

This qualification covers the broad based skills and knowledge that underpin a range of celebrancy roles, as well as addressing specific legislative responsibilities of marriage celebrants and providing a range of electives representing different aspects of celebrancy work. Celebrants may specialise in a range of areas of celebrancy as well as developing skills to manage their own business operations. The training covers practical tasks in the classroom such as: for Marriage celebrants - interviewing a marrying couple to ensure accuracy and currency in marriage documents; performing a range of marriage ceremonies for example: with an interpreter, in various locations, with a variety of situations (case studies and scenarios). For Funeral celebrancy - interview with a bereaved family; fieldtrip to funeral locations including a crematorium and visit with a funeral director in a funeral home; performing a range of funeral and memorial ceremonies.

Flexible learning

Preparation for each class is conducted via QualTrain's e-learning website.

  • Online (training available online or via email submission)

  • Attendance required (training includes some fixed-time online lectures or fixed time class components)

Mixed mode training

Training is delivered in a blended mode of self-paced via the e-learning website in preparation for the face-to-face classroom.

Facilities

QualTrain's Campus is located at 193 Guildford Road (corner of Eighth Avenue) Maylands in Western Australia. We have a well appointed training room suitable for the small groups of students we teach. The training room is nicely ventilated and has reverse cycling air conditioning. Kitchen facilities are available. Free all day secure parking is available to the rear of our building.

Services

Marriage Celebrant training: QualTrain delivers CHC41015 Certificate IV in Celebrancy. This is the qualification a person must attain before applying for registration as a marriage celebrant through the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department. Funeral Celebrant training: QualTrain delivers both a short course for funeral celebrancy and we include funeral celebrancy units in our CIV in Celebrancy face-to-face training.
Celebrant Finishing School
Ongoing Professional Development ​for Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrants.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

Subsidised Training

State and territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students who wish to study certain courses.
Unfortunately, this Training Provider does not currently deliver any subsidised training.

VET Student Loans

This RTO does not currently offer VET Student Loans for any approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
