How do I choose?

Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

Study your course on-campus at Federation University Australia.

Offsite training

We provide you with the learning resources, including workbooks and online reference resources, required to successfully complete your studies from your home or workplace.

Flexible learning

Online study that is integrated with on-campus study. Each week of your course may include evening classes, weekend classes, studying one day or night per week, or similar arrangements

  • Online (training available online or via email submission)
  • Distance (training available via correspondence)
  • Attendance required (training includes some fixed-time online lectures or fixed time class components)

Mixed mode training

For higher education programs, this mode refers to online study that is partnered by blocks of on-campus study. TAFE apprentices and trainees may undertake this study mode on campus for specified periods each semester, and complete their training in the workplace.

Facilities

Headquartered in Ballarat, the university’s five campuses from the west of Victoria to the east anchor the range of programs that FedUni delivers throughout Australia and internationally.

In Ballarat the University has three campuses – Mt Helen, SMB (School of Mines, Ballarat) and Camp St (Arts Academy).

Our Gippsland Campus in Churchill is a bus ride from Morwell and Traralgon and only two hours south-east of Melbourne.  

Our Wimmera Campus provides a wide range of programs for students throughout Horsham and Western Victoria.

FedUni also hosts Australia’s largest regional technology park which accommodates more than 30 companies including its signature tenant, IBM.

The University’s Tech Park Central in the heart of Ballarat enables businesses to have a presence at our SMB Campus.

The University also runs the Nanya Environmental Research Station in Western New South Wales.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

Subsidised Training

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
