Macarthur Tourism, Travel and Events College is committed to excellence through innovation and continuous improvement of our products, services, and outcomes for students wishing to enter the exciting Tourism and Events industry, or those wanting to further their career and qualifications in this ever changing industry.

We focus on servicing a growing need for flexible training in the Macarthur area in the tourism, travel, hospitality and events sector. As a result, by networking and fostering strong industry partnerships, students will experience workplace learning combined with online theory study. Not everyone learns the same way, therefore our online tourism and events courses are flexible. Students can access email, phone or zoom support and we customise individual learning plans for students with diverse needs. How do I choose?

Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Offsite training

We deliver face-to-face training using facilities at-or-near a client's workplace, or at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living in Mount Annan. This is the delivery site for our barista courses. Numbers are capped at 8 per class to meet social distancing guidelines. All other courses are presently offered online/remote/flexible learning.

Flexible learning

Includes online courses and courses by correspondence. Also known as 'external studies'.

  • Online (training available online or via email submission)
  • Distance (training available via correspondence)
  • Attendance required (training includes some fixed-time online lectures or fixed time class components)
  • Self-paced (training has no set class times of set submission dates)

Mixed mode training

A combination of various delivery modes. Also known as 'mixed delivery'.

Facilities

Our barista training courses run at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living in Mount Annan, in NSW. The centre has an operational cafe that meets all commercial kitchen requirements and contains an espresso machine which is suitable for training requirements.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

Subsidised Training

State and territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students who wish to study certain courses.
Unfortunately, this Training Provider does not currently deliver any subsidised training.

VET Student Loans

This RTO does not currently offer VET Student Loans for any approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
