Our training approach focuses on ensuring you have the practical experience and knowledge to achieve your career goals. Training is conducted in a supportive environment where class sizes are deliberately kept small and structured to benefit young-adult and adult learners. This allows you to learn at your own pace and provides ample opportunity for you to ask questions to assist your learning. Additionally, we provide interactive online training using webinars, podcasts and our own student radio available on the app store: Radio 2020!

We also offer vocational pathway training for Queensland students in years 10, 11 and 12.

Our trainers are highly regarded industry professionals with significant experience in their chosen fields and this ensures that our students graduate with the benefit of their experience, skills and current workplace practices.

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

Delivered at our Brisbane, North Coast and Sunshine Coast campuses. Intakes vary across the facilities - please contact the DIVTEC Training Team for current offers in the following courses: - Hospitality ( Brisbane Campus ) - Individual Support - Business - Early Education - Health and Allied Health - Community Co-ordination and Facilitation

Offsite training

Delivered face-to-face in your workplace in the Greater Brisbane Region, or via our e-Learning site / webinar structure. Our trainers are available to travel to rural or remote areas to deliver training depending on course viability.

Flexible learning

Study online using our e-Learning site for any of our courses. DIVTEC also offers webinars, podcasts and a student radio app - RADIO 2020! Listen live or at your leisure on your smartphone. Students require access to a broadband internet connection and computer. School students will need to ensure that learning content is accessible within their school network.

Mixed mode training

Facilities

DIVTEC has a range of facilities available with students completing their study in workshops using industry standard equipment, including:

  • Fully functional kitchens, Cafe and Restaurant

  • Business hub centres

Our Strathpine Campus is spacious, air-conditioned and accessible by bus / train. There are also a number of private study rooms available for one-on-one training support or individual study.

Our Mitchelton Campus is a fantastic premises set in a historic building with leafy green surrounds. Following refurbishment (and air-conditioning), it now stands proud as the Artist Cafe and Gallery and is easily accessible by local train and bus routes.

Services

DIVTEC offers a range of services to support students with their study and employment needs, including: career profiling and guidance, resume development, disability support, assistance for students from a non-English speaking background or with language, literacy, numeracy or other support needs. Our Training Team can also provide information about financial assistance and funding available for eligible students.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

Subsidised Training

State and Territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students. This Training Provider is approved to deliver subsidised training in the following highlighted states and territories. VET Student Loans

This RTO does not currently offer VET Student Loans for any approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
