Competency Training and Site Skills  Training deliver training  across Australia, delivers more courses, more often than any other training provider within the oil, gas, mining, resources, construction, manufacturing and engineering industries, and deliver high risk work licence courses, nationally recognised short courses and e-Learning.  Competency Training and Site Skills assurance are leaders in our fields, grounded in industry experience.

Site Skills Training runs weekly high-risk licence and qualifications designed to help you or your employees advance in Mining & Resources, Oil & Gas, Construction & Engineering industries.

Site Skills Training operates facilities in Western Australia (Perth), Northern Territory (Darwin), Queensland (Brisbane, Gladstone & Ipswich). Each of our training facilities can also provide commercial and corporate clients with flexible and efficient trainer deployment, essential for the delivery of quality skills training for industry.

Site Skills Training facilities are managed by teams with extensive Vocational & Educational Training experience. Our training courses are designed to assist individuals in the development of their jobs, career entry or employment opportunities.

How do I choose?

Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

In-person training delivered at the RTO's site. Also known as 'on-campus', 'in-class', 'traditional face-to-face', 'on-RTO-site' delivery.

Offsite training

The RTO can deliver in-person training using facilities at-or-near a client's workplace, or else in a mobile manner (eg. delivery at a regional/remote location for a specific period or for a specific training course). Also known as 'workplace', 'mobile', 'on-client-site' delivery.

Flexible learning

Includes online courses and courses by correspondence. Also known as 'external studies'.

  • Attendance required (training includes some fixed-time online lectures or fixed time class components)

Zoom Classroom - Live off site classroom training.

Conveniently positioned near the convergence of the M2, M5 and M7 motorways, the West Brisbane Facility provides easy access to a wide range of students. Only 30 minutes from Brisbane's CBD and less than 15 minutes from Ipswich, the West Brisbane Facility is positioned to service Ipswich and all of the South West Brisbane area.

Competency Training/Site Skills Training Perth (Belmont) is spaced over an 8498m² lot, fitted out perfectly to suit the needs of the heavy machinery and High Risk Licence training & equipment. Our Perth training facility features standalone sheds for the overhead cranes both inside and outside workshop, 15 classrooms for the theory and assessment, all prepared for up to date high quality training for students. The campus is fitted for disabled and wheelchair access.

Competency Training/Site Skills Training Darwin delivers a range of Industrial and Construction Skills via High Risk Licence & Certificate courses. Our Darwin training facility is located in the Industrial area of East Arm only 15 minutes’ drive from the Darwin CBD. The facility is equipped with three modern classrooms of varying size to accommodate small groups 6 – 8 and larger groups 15 - 20. There is a large undercover/warehouse area for forklift training and an outside practical training area to simulate a construction

Competency Training/Site Skills Training Gladstone boasts a flexible & efficient workforce, delivering high risk licences, verification of competencies and nationally recognised short courses to high priority training areas throughout Queensland. Our Gladstone facility is separated into two main areas - the vehicle & practical training site and the classrooms for theory & assessment. All the classrooms are air-conditioned for the students. The campus is compiled of 2 large workshops, 2 crib room facilities, and 3 demountable classrooms (each room can hold up to 15+ students). On and off road parking is available. Due to the large size of the sheds on campus training is rarely affected by the weather, being that any outside practical sessions are able to be performed inside; making the facility reliable and minimises a student’s timetable disruption in those situations. Students are trained by highly skilled and experienced facilitators in their respective fields.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

VET Student Loans

This RTO does not currently offer VET Student Loans for any approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The compulsory repayment threshold for the 2019-20 income year is $45,881.
