Located in the centre of Melbourne or Brisbane, we are easy to get to with multiple forms of public transport servicing our campus. The majority of our courses are delivered 3 days per week providing students with the option to work and study at the same time.

Our partnerships with a number of universities across Australia offer students choice of Diploma to Degree direct entry pathways offering significantly less costly and more supportive entry to higher education.

Our English school is a full member of English Australia, the highest level of accreditation for English tuition, allowing students attain the English entry level required for University.

Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

In-person training delivered at the either of Academia Australia's Melbourne or Brisbane campuses. Also known as 'on-campus', 'in-class', 'traditional face-to-face', 'on-RTO-site' delivery. See our campus pages for detailed information.

Flexible learning

Our courses are held via live and interactive online sessions. Our trainers guide students through the learning activities following a regular timetable.

Face-to-face on-campus training is offered across well equipped theory rooms, practical labs depending on course offered (e.g. Training Kitchens, Beauty Therapy Salons, Hairdressing Salons, Aged care simulated rooms, Child care simulated rooms).  

Computer labs are available to all students, along with free WiFi on campus.

Academia provides a number of Support Services to students. There are Student Welfare Officers within the college to consult on these and other services. The Student Welfare Officers will counsel students and may provide free referrals to external parties as necessary where the service is not provided within the college or the student has a support need not offered by the college.

  1. Client Vocational Counselling to improve and extend training outcome
  2. Personal Counselling services are available to all clients and staff from management and may take the form of advice or referral to other services. Personal counselling services must meet Academia's code of practice and confidentiality procedures. Personal counselling services include but are not restricted to:
    1. Grievance /conflict resolution
    2. Stress management
    3. Access and equity issues
    4. Client welfare and support
    5. Education and Career Counselling
    6. Assistance when applying for further studies
  3. Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Support is available to provide clients with advice and support services in the provision of language, literacy and numeracy assessment services. Clients needing (LLN) support may be identified on induction/orientation day or during their enrolment. Many Trainers have a background in language learning and teaching and are able to offer clients case by case support in this area.
  4. Academia Job Club includes assistance with job seeking, resume writing and interview skills, advice and mentoring.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

Subsidised Training

State and Territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students. VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The compulsory repayment threshold for the 2019-20 income year is $45,881.
