Established in 1991, Basair offers students without any previous aviation experience the benefits of a fully-integrated, world-class curriculum; graduating as fully qualified commercial pilots within a year.
With hundreds of alumni flying for major airlines worldwide, our mission is to provide young, eager minds with the technical and non-technical tools required to become expert pilots and rounded professionals.
Our passion is in producing pilots who are life-long learners; determined on improving with every flight and mastering their art. This approach positions students to continue to grow and flourish beyond graduation; preparing them for long and successful pilot careers.

Facilities
Basair Aviation College offers training at the following three campuses; Bankstown Airport and Archerfield Airport.
Bankstown (Sydney)
Bankstown Airport provides the perfect location for professional pilot training. One of the busiest airports in the Southern Hemisphere, Bankstown provides an exciting and stimulating location for all forms of training. Despite the bustling environment, Bankstown enjoys few delays (unlike Sydney airport), top quality facilities and a convenient location close to the City of Sydney. The use of three parallel runways ensures any traffic load is handled with ease. Proximity to the "training area" where initial training is conducted is important, with this area commencing just 5km from the runway complex. No time is wasted travelling to a distant training area, and the close proximity of Hoxton Park and Camden Airports provides added scope for airport usage.
Archerfield (QLD)
Archerfield Airport is a fantastic location for pilot training as it is Brisbane’s secondary airport and Queensland's major centre for general aviation activities. With only about a 15 minute drive to Brisbane CBD it is of close proximity to the state’s major shopping malls, theatre attractions and major events! Queensland is famous for its warm weather and clear skies, perfect for flying. The use of four parallel runways ensure any traffic load is handled with ease. Basair Aviation College has a brand new modern building which offers the best comfort in student accommodation. It is located right in the heart of Archerfield Airport with a lookout deck which offers a 360 degree view of Archerfield Airport.

Our success is seen in our high employment rates
Basair is focused on producing life-long learners, who improve with every flight to master their art. This has long been recognised in the industry, which is seen in our graduate’s employment rates. 94% of our Flight Instructor Rating and 85% of our Instrument Rating graduates obtain employment within a year of graduation
We are a CASA 142 approved organisation
As one of the few 142 approved training organisations in the country, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority allows Basair to train pilots to a commercial standard in only 150 hrs of flight, as opposed to 200 hrs usually required. That is, due to the quality of our training, CASA says we can get you to commercial standard 25% faster than other schools
Our course structure is integrated
Our world-class curriculum is built to blend theory and practice; consolidating and reinforcing learnings to yield expert pilots. Our Units of Study are 4 weeks long, providing regular checkpoints to ensure each student progresses quickly, without any students falling behind
We train our students in industry specific aircraft
Our fleet is the 3rd largest in the country – but that’s not all. It is carefully tailored to ensure our students gain experience during training that will result in them being employed after training. We fly the Cessna and Piper aircraft that you will be flying in your first job – giving you the advantage in the job market, and every chance of succeeding once hired

Financial Assistance
The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
Based on your response, you are not eligible to access a VET Student Loan.
The VET Student Loans Program is only available to Australian citizens, qualifying New Zealand citizens, or permanent humanitarian visa holders who are residing in Australia.
