Since 1992, Skill Hire (RTO 0361) has maintained a clear focus on delivering training to apprentices, trainees, youth programs and Indigenous people.

Skill Hire brings together the benefits of a registered training organisation (RTO 0361), a group training organisation and an employment agency to empower people towards gaining employment. 

Skill Hire deliver training opportunities across a range of sectors such as:

How do I choose?

Delivery Options

This training provider offers courses in the following delivery modes:

Face to face training

Jobseeker training; Residents of WA may be eligible for funded training in a range of Certificate III qualifications which can lead to employment. Our jobseeker training is generally 2-4 days a week, depending on the program and may include work experience. Apprenticeship; In person delivered at our Training Centre's through block release training with a mixture of ‘in class’ delivery and practical development in our workshops. Block training consists of a number of scheduled weeks training blocks that enable students to focus on the particular aspect of the qualification they are working on and allows project work to be complete over the duration of the block. Fee for service; We have a range of fee for service qualifications that you can enrol in and study blended learning online theory with virtual classrooms and then practical workshops to train and be assessed on your practical skills. Currently delivering face to face training via virtual classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemi

Offsite training

Skill Hire (RTO 0361) can offer on-the-job assessment where applicable to meet the needs of our clients.

Flexible learning

With our online learning platform, we can offer an alternative to class attendance in conjunction with on-the-job assessment, onsite simulated practicals and work placements can provide a completely flexible training model to suit most learning styles.

Mixed mode training

A combination of on-the job and off-the job training and assessment can be offered where suitable. Also able to offer a mixed delivery mode online and onsite.

Facilities

Our purpose built training campus located at Unit 3, 271 Berkshire Road, Forrestfield, Western Australia is conveniently placed 19km from Perth, with easy access to Roe & Tonkin Highway, with accessible bus links and ample free parking. Our facility provides industry specific tools and equipment and air conditioned classrooms allowing delivery in both traditional and digital learning

Services

We deliver a range of courses and qualifications  at our various training facilities located in and around Perth and regional areas. 

We also run a number of school based ‘Try a Trade’ courses.

Our main campus (Forrestfield) offers student lunch area with kitchen facilities, a vending machine and have a lunch van on site at regular intervals.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

Subsidised Training

State and Territory governments dedicate funds to reduce or, in some cases, fully cover tuition fees for VET students. VET Student Loans

This RTO does not currently offer VET Student Loans for any approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. Compulsory repayment threshold information is available on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
