Training Provider Summary

AIM WA is primarily a membership based professional development organisation. The professional development learning programs provided by AIM WA, target participants who wish to further develop their already significant workplace skills and knowledge whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification through an assessment only pathway.

AIM WA does not provide a vocational training pathway, but does provide a recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment pathway to qualifications. So whilst the target cohort is already operating in their chosen qualification benchmark in the workplace, (this is assessed throughout the application to enrol process) the professional development programs delivered at AIM WA, focus heavily on further developing the participants existing skills and knowledge. AIM WA professional development programs may be combined with a qualification assessment pathway, or can be undertaken separately, without each requiring the other for completion.

To gain a qualification with AIM WA, candidates must successfully apply to enrol in, and complete all the assessment components of their chosen qualification. AIM WA gives its candidates two (2) years to complete this assessment process, with the support of the assessment team.

In summary, on successful completion of the assessment component of a qualification on the Institute's scope, a participant will have the benefit of achieving a benchmarked nationally recognised qualification, with the added learning benefits available, if attending the optional professional development programs. AIM WA feels that this model better suits the needs of its clients.
