Training Provider Summary

Complete the Unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, also known as the White Card course in Brisbane North.

White Card QLD

White Cards are State issued licenses required to work in the construction industry. They are nationally recognised and can be used across borders. They allow for employees to be covered by WorkSafe Queensland in case of work related injuries.

The training must be completed with a registered training organisation (RTO) overseen by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

The course is known as construction safety induction training. It teaches the basics that anyone should know prior to entering construction sites, such as identifying hazards, managing risk, the correct use personal protective equipment (PPE), how to react in case of accidents or fires and more.

The Queensland White Card was previously known as the Blue Card. Blue Cards are still valid and employers must accept them, they might however suggest completing a White Card course as a refresher.

White Cards can be replaced if lost. Blue Cards cannot be replaced, and safety induction training must be completed in order to obtain a new Card.
