Training Provider Summary

St Albans campus is our health and nutrition hub, boasting state-of-the-art research centres. Our St Albans campus is a hub for health and nutrition research. It also specialises in arts and science programs.

Our nursing and biomedical science students complete a large part of their studies at the new teaching and research centre at Sunshine Hospital alongside medical professionals.

The campus has a modern community feel and is set in garden of native grasses and gum trees. It's a relaxed, friendly place to study, with a children's centre, a gym, and award-winning architecture.

St Albans Health & Fitness Centre
Train in a large, open plan gymnasium with state-of-the-art cardio, strength, mobility and functional training equipment.

We are proud to have Jindi Woraback Childcare Centre - awarded Australian Family Early Childhood Service of the Year for VIC/TAS 2011 and 2013 - working with us in partnership.

Our St Albans campus houses a range of services, including:

VUHQ (Student Service Centre)
VUHQ is your first point of contact for assistance, advice and support as a student. Our opening hours change throughout the year to help meet your needs at busy times. Please note, no more than $500 cash can be accepted.

Security on campus
The Security Operations Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A free shuttle bus service to and from the St Albans Train Station is also provided free of charge for students.

Student lounges and learning spaces
VU has student lounges and informal learning spaces at all of our campuses, available to all students, with access to WiFi and power.

Learning Hub
We offer study advice and career guidance through our Learning Hubs. Dedicated advisors in maths, writing, careers, and research and referencing help design our services and resources.

At Chaplaincy, we are pleased to meet people from every faith or no faith. You are welcome to visit the Chaplain at VU to share any news, views, stories, concerns or discuss other personal issues. The Chaplain offers spiritual and emotional support, listens with a caring heart and a compassionate spirit, irrespective of your faith/belief affilitation or background.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The amount for the 2017-2018 income year is $55,874.
