Footscray Nicholson is a few minutes walk from the Footscray train station.

This relaxed and friendly campus has an emphasis on TAFE courses, run through VU Polytechnic. It's easy to find your way around - there is a brand new learning commons with a library and study spaces.

We also have childcare facilities and a recreation centre.

Student facilities at Footscray Nicholson campus include a cafe, recreation centre with sport courts, restaurant and parenting and prayer rooms. We're also within walking distance of UniLodge student accommodation.

Footscray Nicholson Recreation Centre
The Recreation Centre has a high quality multipurpose course. You can hire the course to play basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton or table tennis.

VenU Restaurant
VenU is our award-winning student-run restaurant at Footscray Nicholson campus. The industry-standard facility provides a simulated work environment for hospitality students to refine their skills under the guidance of our expert teachers.

Come to VenU for lunch and enjoy seasonal dishes prepared by our apprentice chefs, and professional service from our hospitality and events students.

The licensed restaurant features a main dining room that seats 100 guests, function space for 50 guests, a la carte, cafe and bistro dining, menus featuring seasonal and local produce, a selection of local wines and craft beers.

In the past, VenU has been awarded Best Training Restaurant at the Restaurant and Catering Victoria Excellence Awards.

VUHQ is your first point of contact for assistance, advice and support as a student. Our opening hours change throughout the year to help meet your needs during busy times. Please note, the Footscray Nicholson VUHQ only accepts EFTPOS payments.

Learning Hub
Learning Hubs are welcoming, collaborative spaces that provide academic support and career guidance. We offer essential activities, practical workshops and drop-in sessions to all of our students - from first year to postgraduate study - as well as 24/7 online advice and support.

University accommodation
A short distance from Footscray Nicholson campus gives you the chance to meet people from all around the world and get involved in social and academic activities from a comfortable home base.

Student lounge and learning spaces
Students at Footscray Nicholson have access to two student lounges with WiFi and kitchenettes. There is also a library on campus.

Child care and kindergarten
The Footscray Nicholson Children's Centre is a purpose-built facility located on campus, a short walk from the Footscray train station. The Centre has a purpose-built observation room so staff, families and students can observe children's learning without interrupting their play. This facility is also used by students studying early childhood development to enhance their learning.

The Centre provides care and education for 39 children, including a kindergarten program for four-year-olds. Care is available for children aged three months to six years on a full-time (weekly) and daily care basis.

Students and visitors can park in the P Ticket areas, using the Easy Park Phone App or paperless pay stations in the car park.

Security on campus
We provide a safe and secure workplace and learning environment, including a shuttle bus to and from the train station.

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The amount for the 2017-2018 income year is $55,874.
