The City Queen Campus is made up of two main heritage buildings in the heart of Melbourne's legal precinct, and two smaller buildings.

295 Queen Street (Registry Office Building) houses Victoria Law School, the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre and the Law Library. The building also contains two moot courts, computer laboratories, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, the library, a prayer room, and a student lounge.

283 Queen Street offers postgraduate business programs, undergraduate law courses, and continuing legal education.

Victoria University's Queen Street campus is home to the Victoria Institute, an inclusive education research institute that builds better learning outcomes for diverse and distadvantaged students.

City Queen campus also houses the Centre for International Research on Education Systems (CIRES), a national centre for research on education and training systems as well as the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre, providing legal education, training and research.

Our City Queen campus houses a range of services, including:

VUHQ (Student Service Centre)
VUHQ is your first point of contact for assistance, advice and support as a student. Our opening hours change throughout the year to help meet your needs during busy times. Please note, the City Queen VUHQ only accepts EFTPOS payments.

Student lounges and learning spaces
VU has student lounges and informal learning spaces at all of our campuses, available to all students. Our City Queen campus offers a kitchenette, lounges and power outlets for recharge.

Security on campus
Our Security Operations Centre is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The amount for the 2017-2018 income year is $55,874.
