Just 10 minutes from the Perth CBD, we’re part of one of the largest educational and technology precincts in Western Australia. Renowned for its pleasant gardens and relaxed, friendly ambience, Bentley provides training in areas such as Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Baking, Meat Processing, Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing, and Fashion and Textiles.

Bentley Hospitality Institute is a highly regarded provider of hospitality training. Our highly knowledgeable and supportive lecturers have industry experience from employment in top class hotels to Alfresco and Cafe dining. Our hospitality students graduate work-ready and are actively sought by industry because of their high level of practical knowledge.

Western Australian Institute of Fashion and Textiles (WAIFT) was established in 1980 and is well regarded by the clothing industry - consistently recognised as a provider of quality training for their members. Over the years, WAIFT has formed a highly valued, close relationship with industry which benefits graduates by providing a smooth transition from study life to the work environment with a realistic expectation of the job opportunities available to them upon graduation.

South Metro TAFE's Gold Plate Awarded Bentley Pines training restaurant offers five-star dining for lunch and dinner at greatly reduced prices. The adjacent casual dining Bistro is perfect for those looking for morning tea or a quick lunch. Bentley campus is renowned for inviting members of the public to visit the various shops and services run by the students during term time to reflect a realistic working environment for students during their training. Bentley’s on-campus bakery is open Monday to Friday during school terms. Stock is limited dependant on the students’ training schedule. The Veterinary Clinic provides veterinary services for companion animals belonging to students, staff and the general public. Design Lines stocks fabrics, haberdashery and other clothing supplies to support WAIFT students and the general public.

Financial Assistance

The federal, state and territory governments provide financial incentives and support for vocational education and training students to help them gain the skills required to secure and maintain rewarding and sustainable employment.

There are programs for all kinds of students; apprentices and trainees, new job starters, those re-entering the workforce, retraining for a new job or upgrading their skills for an existing job.

VET Student Loans

This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The amount for the 2017-2018 income year is $55,874.
